My kids are all home

Thank G-d I have all of my 4 kids under MY roof. My son went off to camp, for the first time, 3 weeks ago. While he was there, we mistook appendicitis, actually a ruptured appendix, for home sickness. He complained that his stomach hurt and we didn't listen. He ended up going to my friend for Shabbos, which saved his life, because Shabbos morning she saw how bad he was and called Hatzalah, the Jewish ambulance. I was up the whole Friday night and I didn't understand why. Shabbos morning, at about 7:30am, we had a knock at the door, it was a hatzalah volunteer telling us that my son needed to get to the hospital. I got dressed and got into an ambulance that was going to meet up with my son's ambulance and take us to Westchester Medical center. They diagnosed him with appendicitis and took him in for surgery. It was only supposed to last for an hour, and 2 3/4 hours later the chief of pediatric trauma surgery came out to tell me and my friend that my son had had a serious ruptured appendix and he was going to be in the P.I.C.U. I started crying when he told us that he was extremely lucky, because he would not have made it if we would have waited another day. He is home now, for a week, after being there for 11 days and I pray that he will continue to recover. Thanks to me amazingly devoted friends I was able to get through everything without going nuts. Someone, I hope, is watching us up there, I also hope that they or he never stop watching!
